I'm just amazed that the interface to the store is redesigned so that many titles get truncated. I like the list view in the main iTunes interface and if the store let me use that too I'd be happy.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the change in "column view" the main viewer window. The improvements in the store are good, but as far as managing my own collection, I much preferred the functionality of the three-column top hierarchy (Genre, Artist, Album). The new column view, with yet another column off to the side, is just plain awkward, and merely a duplicate of the already existing number of columns.

You want to make it nice, Apple? Go back to the column hierarchical view, as described above, and use that new side column for artwork. It always seemed silly to me that one doesn't have a column where one can view/sort by artwork.

Gotta go download 8 again and reinstall. The improvements to the design of the store aren't worth it without my column view, IMHO.

Thanks @Luiz - It is always a challenge to educate clients, but it's essential not just for the success of the project, but I've found for the success of the client's business in general. Appreciate your thoughts and feedback!

@Amanda - Thanks for your comments. Interesting take...you make some good observations and points, primarily how good usability isn't just about design and top-level functionality. It also applies to digging down deeper into the interface, which, according to you, wasn't the most pleasant experience. Really appreciate your thoughts!

I loved the first paragraph following point number 1. You are definitely not alone when dealing with clients that just don't get it at first.
